Obituary of Raffaella Chianca

Raffaella “Falina” Clericuzio Chianca, age 84, of Stratford, beloved wife of Nicola Chianca, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Ariano Irpino, Province of Avellino, Italy, on September 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Carmela D’Antuono Clericuzio.

In addition to her husband of 56 years, Nicola, she is also survived by her son, Joseph Chianca and his wife Joann of Milford, three brothers, Filippo Clericuzio and his wife Melina of Bridgeport, Nicola Clericuzio and his wife Antonietta of Trumbull and Anthony Clericuzio and his companion Nora Hoag of Shelton, two cherished grandsons, Anthony and Alexander and a brother-in-law, Tonino Chianca and his wife Maria of Torino, Italy as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 9:30 a.m. inHoly Name of Jesus, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, St. Monica Mausoleum, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday from 4 – 8 p.m.
