Obituary of Cathleen Iassogna

Cathleen Case Iassogna, age 80, beloved wife of Thomas Iassogna, Jr. of Bridgeport, died on Tuesday May 15, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newport, RI on November 22, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Everett and Ida Jansen Case and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport. Mrs. Iassogna was a graduate from St. Catherine High School and went on to become a dental assistant. Upon marrying her husband Thomas she moved to Bridgeport. For over 60 years of marriage she was a loving and excellent wife and mother. She excelled in baking, cooking, sewing and always volunteering for various charities. Her smile and personality lit up the room resulting in her having many loving friends. In addition to her husband Thomas, survivors include her three loving daughters, Linda Nemergut and her husband Robert, Mary Taylor and her husband Steve and Cathleen Geremia, a brother, Norman Case and his wife Betty, six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends may greet the family on Sunday May 20, 2012 from 12-3 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull followed by a family memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Private interment will take place in Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
