Obituary of Edith D. Battaglia

Edith D. Paetsch Battaglia, age 88, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late John J. Battaglia, Jr., passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Lord Chamberlain in Stratford. Born in Bridgeport on May 1, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Dorothy Eppler Paetsch. Edith enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.

Survivors include her loving children, John Battaglia, III and his wife Joan of Bridgeport and Cynthia Battaglia of East Hampton, NY, five beloved grandchildren, Michele Goode and her husband Jon, Amy Mallardi and her husband Tony, John Battaglia and his wife Carrie, Matthew Battaglia and his companion Javier Lopez and Rick Gallos and his wife Beth, 11 cherished great grandchildren, John, Alex, Carley, Jack, Shea, Caitlyn, Anna, Abigail, Trey, Cody and Aiden as well as a niece, Faith Mauri and a nephew, Edward Jones. She was predeceased by a sister, Ann Grosso.

All funeral services were held in private and at the convenience of the family.
