Obituary of Norma Masse

Norma Guglielmoni Masse, age 93, a longtime Trumbull resident passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Masse. Born in Bridgeport on September 22, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Ersilia Montano Guglielmoni. 

Norma was a self-employed Real Estate Agent, having her own agency and later worked as Executive Assistant to the President of the former Lafayette Bank & Trust in Bridgeport. She loved the beach and also enjoyed open ocean swimming. Her quest for knowledge was reaffirmed with a joy for reading and later through the listening of audio books. She also enjoyed painting and socializing with her many friends from the Red Hat Society and Young at Heart Group at Black Rock Church. The memories of her fun-loving nature, the laughter and adventures we all shared will be cherished.

Survivors include her loving children, Lynn Masse of Trumbull and Scott F. Masse and his wife Heather of Old Saybrook, her three cherished grandchildren, Paola Malatesta and husband John Dobosz of Ansonia, Scott L. Masse and Jordyn Masse, both of Old Saybrook, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband Louis, she was also predeceased by her brothers, Morris, Albert and Mario Guglielmoni and her sisters, Dorothy Bertini and Neris Cecere.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
