Obituary of Vito A. Sabatelli

Vito A. Sabatelli, age 92, of Weston passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Concetta LoTurco Sabatelli. Born in Dunmore, PA, on July 12, 1925, he was a son of the late Vincent J. and Marie Telesco Sabatelli. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Vito had served honorably during World War II. He later became the co-owner of the National Academy of Hairdressing, as well as VCR Realty of Bridgeport, alongside his brother Carmen Sabatelli and Russel Cingari. He was also proud to have been instrumental in the establishing of the adoration chapel at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Weston. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving daughters, Marianna Hutvagner of Weston and Kris Mandelbaum of Hamden, his grandson Adam Mandelbaum, daughter-in-law, Carol Sabatelli of FL, his brother, Carmen Sabatelli of Weston, sister-in-law, Janice Sabatelli of Beaumont, TX, and nieces and nephew, Kathleen Phair, Michael Sabatelli, Maureen Patronella, Shannon Sabatelli, Patricia DeMott and their families. In addition to his beloved wife, Nina, he was also predeceased by his son, James Sabatelli, sons-in-law, Francis Hutvagner and Matthew Mandelbaum and his brother, Nicholas Sabatelli.

Friends may greet the family on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Weston. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
