Dear Eileen, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Mother. I know how much you cherished and loved her and that it will be an enormous void in your life. The love and devotion you gave to her throughout her healthy times and ill times certainly did not go unnoticed by me. If every Mother had a child who was as loving and devoted as you were to your Mother, the World would be a more kind and caring place. There are few women possessing the intelligence and quiet calm that is the mark and characteristic of Mareta Brennan Fagan. Sister of my beloved deceased wife Valeria Brennan Girandola, two years Mareta's junior, both women were notable and accomplished teachers in New Jersey. While courting mareta's sister Valeria I had the good fortune to befriend Mareta and experience the great qualities of her guiding love of her sister and later of the beautiful children she bore as wife of Edward C. Fagan. Never seeking praise for her efforts at life and always looking to guide and instruct Mareta was the kind of woman who made motherhood a blessing and a profession. I will miss her caring and advice but I will always pray for the repose of her great soul. May she Rest In Peace.
