Obituary of Robert J. Nadrizny

Robert J. Nadrizny, age 69, of Shelton and formerly Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on October 5, 1947 he was a son of the late Joseph and Margaret Milliken Nadrizny. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he had served honorably in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded three Bronze Stars for his service. Robert was a Police Officer for the City of Bridgeport for 21 years before his retirement in 1991. An avid car enthusiast, he was also the former owner and operator of both, Cars R Us and Black Rock Auto Sales. His vast knowledge of records and music of the 1950's was nothing short of extraordinary.

Survivors include his daughter, Sophia Nadrizny, his granddaughter, Daniella Shields, both of Rowley, MA, his niece and nephew, Jaime Nadrizny and Craig Nadrizny, Jr, both of Bridgeport. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Craig Nadrizny.

Friends may greet the family on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
