Obituary of Margaret G. Paradise

Margaret Greene Paradise, age 94, beloved wife of the late Charles W. Paradise, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at her home with her granddaughter Shani and her husband Rob by her side. Born on October 22, 1922 in Hartford, she was a daughter of the late Rex and Carrie Duquette Greene. She was a retired underwriter for Aetna, where she left a legacy of hard work and dedication. She was a member of the Women's Voter League, loved to read and was fascinated by history.

But above all things in life, she treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The unconditional love she gave to them will always continue to live on in their hearts. She will be truly missed.

Survivors include her four cherished grandchildren, Shani Husted and her husband Robert, Jennifer Sutton and her husband Chris, Tammy McDermott and Michael McDermott, her adored great grandchildren, Alexandria, Greyson, and Brandi, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Judith McDermott and Deborah McKay, their father, Ralph D. McKay, a brother Rex E. Greene Jr. and two sisters Helen O'Keefe and Dorothy Greene.

A celebration of Margaret's life will take place on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the home of her granddaughter, Shani Husted. Please call for the address at 203-231-3743.
