Obituary of Joan G. Burke

Joan G. Donnelly Burke, age 86, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Lionel Burke, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at St. Joseph's Center. Born in Bridgeport on July 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late John V. and Myrtle Umstatter Donnelly.

Survivors include two nephews, Lawrence McFarland-Groves of Wolcott and Ronald McFarland of Brooksville, FL., a grandniece, Heather Davies of St. Petersburg, FL., and honorary niece and close personal friend, Mary Maronich of Monroe. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Joyce (Donnelly) McFarland Demyan.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday morning from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
