Obituary of Daniel R. Capozzi

Daniel R. Capozzi, age 66, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Gardner Heights Health Care Center, Shelton. Born in Bridgeport on February 23, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Daniel L. and Evelyn Ianniello Capozzi.

A graduate of Central High School, Dan was employed by Target and also Brew Printing. He was a lifelong dedicated parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport; he was very active on many committees' and always helped with the parish festival. A very outgoing and loving person, he established many friendships throughout his life. A resident a Gardner Heights, he was the President of the Resident Association and enjoyed participating in the daily activities. Dan was a loving uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend and he will be missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, Anthony Drew of Trumbull and nephews, David Drew of Milford and Daniel Drew of New Haven, several cousins in the Ianniello and Capozzi families, as well as many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, June Drew and a niece, Pamela Drew.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
