Obituary of Kathleen Marie Scinto

Kathleen Marie Geffert Scinto , age 73, of Shelton, beloved wife of Daniel L. Scinto, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 28, 1943 in Hazelton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dayock Geffert. Kathleen was a retired receptionist for the Brooklawn Country Club. A very kind and loving woman, Kathleen enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, cooking, traveling and shopping. But her greatest treasure and love in life was her family. Everyday revolved around the care and love of her husband, children and grandchildren. The memories and love she unconditionally gave will continue to live on in their hearts forever. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by a son, John Scinto and a brother Joseph Geffert. In addition to her beloved husband of 54 years, Dan, survivors include four loving children, a son, Daniel Scinto and his wife, Pamela, of Seymour, three daughters, Theresa Nehez and her husband, John, of Monroe, Patricia Flynn and her husband, Edward, of Milford, Natalie Springer and her husband, John, of Derby, seven cherished grandchildren, Dan, Rachel, David, Jessica, Julia, Krista, and John, two brothers, William Geffert and his wife Judy of FL, and Robert Geffert of Stratford, a sister, Mary Ellen Mangione and her husband Louis of Oxford, a brother-in-law, Ronald Scinto of Trumbull, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
