Obituary of Nancy Colonnese

Nancy Padulo Colonnese, age 95, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on December 28th, 2016 in Saint Vincent's Medical Center. Beloved wife of the late Albert Colonnese, Nancy is survived by two sons, Michael and Joseph, by her daughter-in-law, Robin, by two grandsons, Benjamin and Daniel, by her grand-daughter-in-law, Jennifer, by a great grand-daughter, Lillian, and by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A life-long resident of Bridgeport, Nancy worked in clothing and factory jobs in her early years, at Remington Arms during the Second World War, later for the Solider Sailors and Marines Fund, and for many, many decades as a loving mother and homemaker. She will be remembered by family, by her long-time health care aid, Patricia, and by her many close and lifelong friends as a caring, tender, and utterly generous woman, someone who always thought of others first and who was deeply involved in their lives. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Margaret’s Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may visit on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
