Obituary of Carol Ann Masciola

Carol Ann Fasanella Masciola, age 75, of Bridgeport passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Enrico "Emo" Masciola, Jr. Born in Bridgeport on December 25, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Matthew F. and Loretta Norton Fasanella, Sr. A graduate of Central High School, Class of 1957, she was later employed by Stop and Shop, where she worked as the cash office manager before her retirement with many years of dedicated service. She loved to travel with her friends, but her greatest enjoyment was found in the time that she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Masciola of Derby, John Masciola and his companion Patricia Daniel of Fairfield, Jeff Masciola and his wife Darlene of Shelton and Jason Masciola and his wife Maria of Bridgeport, son-in-law, Paul Tuper of Terryville, sisters-in-law, Diane Fasanella of Bridgeport and Georgene Fasanella of Stratford, fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Enrico, she is also predeceased by her daughters, Linda Katiewicz and Laura Tuper, and brothers, Matthew F. Fasanella, Jr. and Gary Fasanella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
