Obituary of Philomena Langanke

Philomena Langanke, age 86, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Ralph Langanke, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on March 28, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Rosina Caserta Carbone. She enjoyed playing cards and Mah Jongg and was the founder of the Tassels Bowling League. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially at Sunday dinners. Survivors include three beloved children, David Langanke and his wife Debbie of Chandler, AZ, Donna Dockendorff and her husband Jay of Terryville and Gail Audibert and her husband David of Wolcott, a sister, Rosemarie Katz of Monroe, seven loving grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Julie, Emily, Amanda, Alexandra and Michael and three cherished great grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia and Sophia as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Vincent and Frank Carbone and her sister, Mary DiLella. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
