Obituary of Giuseppe Antoniani
Giuseppe Antoniani, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Giovanna Maini Antoniani, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer with his family by his side on Monday, March 28, 2016 in Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Born in Strangolagalli, Province of Frosinone, Italy on August 9, 1930, he was a son of the late Benedetto and Marcella Antoniani.
Mr. Antoniani came to the United States in 1953, settling in Bridgeport for many years before moving to Trumbull. He was an employee of Contract Plating for 45 years retiring as a foreman. A former member of the Marchegianna Club, he was a hardworking, devoted family man and will be sadly missed by all.
In addition to his wife of 65 years, Giovanna, survivors include four sons, Silvio Antoniani of North Carolina, Joseph Antoniani and his wife Diane of Cheshire, John Antoniani and his wife Diane of Stratford and Perry Antoniani and his wife Wendy of North Carolina, a sister, Maria Tomassi and her husband Giuseppe of Belgium, six grandchildren, Joseph, John Paul, Jeremy, Sarah, Michael and Andrew, three great grandchildren, Abbey, Joseph and Daniel. He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Eugenia Tomassi and Assunta Antoniani and three brothers, Lorenzo, Vincenzo and Fiore Antoniani.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
