Obituary of Concetta Sabatelli

Concetta "Nina" Sabatelli, age 92 of Weston, and beloved wife to Vito A. Sabatelli, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 30, 2015 at home with her family by her side. Born on March 14, 1923 in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late Pancrazio and Angelina Aucello LoTurco. Nina worked as a receptionist for 6 years in her husband's beauty shop then raised her family for many years as a loving wife and mother only to return to work with Vito as a payroll manager, "the Pay Master", for 25 years at the National Academy of Hairdressing. Nina was a devoted and loving wife, mother, doting grandmother, and dog lover who will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband Vito of 68 years, Nina is survived by her daughters Marianna Hutvagner of Weston, and Kris Mandelbaum (Matthew) of Hamden; grandson Adam Mandelbaum; brother-in-law Carmen Sabatelli of Weston; sister-in-law Janice Sabatelli of Beaumont, TX; daughter-in-law Carol Sabatelli; and many loving nieces and nephews. Nina is predeceased by her son James Sabatelli; her brother Joseph LoTurco; and son-in-law Francis Hutvagner. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, Weston, CT 06883 on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa School, 55 Rosemond Terrace, Trumbull, CT 06611. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
