Obituary of Vincent R. Macri
Vincent R. Macri entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He was born on July 4, 1958 in Bridgeport, CT and later moved to Trumbull. He was a graduate of Trumbull High School class of '76 and later graduated from Norwalk Technical College and Bridgeport School of Engineering. He was a very bright student who was listed in "Who's Who Among American Students" as well as class valedictorian. Vincent was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft and Perkin Elmer where he contributed in the making of the Hubble Space Telescope. He was a modest, humble and soft spoken man with a great sense of humor and was handy around the house. He loved to fish, enjoyed watching the X-files and History channel, teaching his kids, walking his dogs, feeding the wildlife, holiday gatherings with family and was proud of his children's accomplishments.
Survivors include his mother Jean Convertito Macri of Trumbull, a daughter Vanessa Macri Morton and her husband John of Littleton, CO, a son Vincent T. Macri of Trumbull, a sister Juliann Macri Porter and her husband John, nephews James H. Porter and Joseph W. Porter, an uncle and several cousins. He is predeceased by his father Vincent Macri.
Vincent's family wants to offer their gratitude to all of the caring and compassionate nurses at St. Vincent's Hospital Infusion Center.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
