Obituary of Rose M. Alfano

Rose M. Caracciola Alfano, age 91, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Pasquale Alfano, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Jewish Home in Fairfield. Born in Bridgeport on May 28, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Caroline D'Amatta Caracciola. Mrs. Alfano was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the WAVES during World War II. Before her retirement, Rose was a Lead Inspector at AVCO Lycoming with over 20 years of service. She was a member of the Singing Sweethearts at WICC. Survivors include her children, Patrick Alfano of Vernon, Donald Alfano and his wife Roxanne of Danbury, Christopher Alfano of Bridgeport, Mary Pereira and her husband Frank of Trumbull and Michael Alfano of SC, a brother, Joseph Caracciola and his wife Barbara of Albany, sisters, Jennie Alfano and her husband Anthony of Bridgeport and Pauline Caraglio of Trumbull. She also leaves six loving grandchildren, seven cherished great grandchildren and an adored great great grandson. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
