Barbara, Pat & Carolyn My deepest condolences to you and the extended D'Andria family. I will always have the fondest of memories of Danny as well as Sadie and the many good days we all had back in Bayside. He was truly one of a kind. Now he is at peace with his beloved Sadie and probably playing cards with Pop and having Aunt Nancy cook up some of her famous Rice Balls. Oh how I miss the cooking of Sadie and Aunt Nancy. Danny was a unique individual. I always admired his intellect but moreover, his dedication and devotion to his wife and kids. I will never forget the kindness and warmth he always showed me and my family. On the day that I last saw him at Pinelawn Cemetary, after paying my respects to him, he said to me that he considered me like family. I was at a loss for words when I heard him say that but that's what Danny was all about...Family! Jimmy

I read Angelo's obit and remembered the barbershop on Roosevelt Avenue between 89th and 90th Street in Elmhurst under the elevated trains I am probably one of the handful of people left to remember going there for a haircut. Angelo had the first chair closest to the window and as I remember there were 3 other chairs for employees ---in a row perpendicular to the street. This was the day when men went to the barber's for both a shave and a haircut. It was noisy except when the trains would roar past. Then no conversation. Years later I remember Angelo giving me haircuts in the living room of my parents home on Roosevelt Avenue, Corona while Angelo alternated between cutting and watching television We all got haircuts.. No complaints from him about the extended work day when he had already pu tin a full day. Years later, Angelo gave my son Paul his first haircut . My memories of Angelo, and Sadie too are all tied in with family and their attentiveness to us. God bless
