Obituary of Elizabeth L. Squires

Elizabeth Charubini Squires, age 79, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Russell R. Squires, died on Monday, June 30, 2014 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Cohasset, MA on March 19, 1935, she was a daughter of the late David and Laura Bates Charubini. Mrs. Squires earned a Bachelors' Degree from Simmons College in Boston and her Master's Degree in Business Administration from Sacred Heart University. She was the office manager for Dr. L. Ronald Homza for over 30 years and a member of the Tashua Knolls Ladies Golf Association. Survivors include two sons, Scott Squires of Shelton and Glenn Squires and his wife Michelle of Trumbull, a daughter, Lynne Phillis and her husband Jeffrey of Gilbert, AZ, and three grandchildren, Stephanie and Lauren Squires and David Phillis. She was pre-deceased by a brother, David Charubini. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854.
