Obituary of William D. Tucci
William Davis Tucci, age 90, of Shelton, CT and Davenport, FL entered into rest on Monday, June 2, 2014 in Florida. His loving wife of 65 years, Dorothy Mae Kovalik Tucci, was at his side. William was born August 6, 1923 in Bridgeport, CT and was the son of the late Santo and Josephine Garafalo Tucci. Mr. Tucci graduated Harding High School in 1942, received the Purple Heart for his service in World War II and was a retiree of CL & P after being employed for 32 years. He truly loved life and enjoyed a long and active retirement in California, Florida and Connecticut. He loved to travel, listen to music, dining, sports and the company of his family and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Tucci; two grandsons, Daniel F. Potucek II and Michael R. McMahon; son-in law Charles Hannock; seven brothers, three sisters and many loving relatives and friends.
William is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kovalik Tucci; his children, Pamela Hannock, Monica McMahon and her husband Mike, William S. Tucci and his wife Kimberly and John Tucci and his wife Linda; his grandchildren, Stephanie Tucci, Meghan Vigeant and her husband Peter, Jaime Greco, Jonathan Tucci and his wife Amanda, Lindsay Tucci and William Tucci; and his great grandchildren, Daniel F. Potucek III, Taylor Downs and Anita Vigeant.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
