Obituary of Carmella Bruno Grosso

Carmella Bruno Grosso, age 91, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Philip L. Grosso and loving mother of the late Beverly Ann Gates, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at her residence. Born in Bridgeport on October 4, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Maria A. Mazzelli Bruno. Mrs. Grosso was employed at the former Remington Arms and Kays Department Store. She loved everyone dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include a son, Joseph Grosso and his wife Karyl of Naugatuck; a son-in-law, Richard Gates of Shelton; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Cocchiola , Joseph Grosso Jr., Philip Grosso, Tracey Savage, Laura Turiano, Shannon Emond, John Gates; eight great grandchildren, Kaitlyn-Jo, Sabryna, Joseph, Brian, Richard Lee, Alaina, John, Richard and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Patrick Bruno and three sisters, Mary Nardello, Marge Bonitatibus and Rose Beningo. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.
