Obituary of Margery Ernst

Resident of Stratford Margery Vogel Ernst, age 70, of Stratford, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2005 while at Westchester Medical Center in New York. Born in Bridgeport on September 21, 1935, she was the daughter of Edith Heissler Vogel of Kentucky and the late Joseph Vogel. Marge was retired from Textron-Lycoming. She loved her family, dear friends and was known to many as Grammy. Marge found great joy in being a part of the various ministries at Grace Baptist Church where she also served as a deaconess. She held a special place in her heart for her Grace Baptist Church family and will be remembered for the laughter and comfort she brought to others. Marge was pre-deceased by her husband, Warren Ernst and a brother, Vincent Vogel. In addition to her mother, survivors include her children, Karen Raphaely of Stratford, Judi Schack and her husband, John of Milford, Annmarie Ballaro and her husband, Frank of Stratford, DeeAnn DeCrescenzo and her husband, Nicholas of West Haven, Robert Ernst and his wife, Paddy of Stratford, Rick Ernst of Florida, James Ernst and his wife, Janice of Florida, a brother, George Vogel of Kentucky. Marge was also blessed with 18 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Eileen Eckart. Funeral Information A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place on Friday evening, December 9, 2005 at 7 p.m. in Grace Baptist Church, Milford.
