Obituary of Joseph Grisell
Resident of Easton
Joseph Skip Charles Grisell, age 76, of Easton, died peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeport on December 20, 1932, he was a son of the late William and Lillian Holden Grisell. He was a graduate of Harding High School, a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War and retired employee of Southern New England Telephone Co. after 32 years. He was a life member of the AT&T Telecom Pioneers and a member of the American Legion Post #12, Norwalk, CT. He was an active parishioner at Christ the King Church, Trumbull. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play soccer and was a passionate N.Y. Giant Football Fan. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Pauline Ida Costanzo Grisell, two sons, Keith Grisell of Bridgeport and Brian Grisell of Brookfield, a daughter, Sara Rosso and her husband Vincent of Trumbull, three cherished grandchildren, Brian Jr., Brianna, and Marisa Grisell as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William Grisell Jr. Funeral Information
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Donations Information
