Obituary of Anthony M. Donofrio

Anthony M. Donofrio, age 82, of Trumbull, a retired supervisor for Avco Lycoming, died Monday, August 2, 2004 in the Veterans Hospital, West Haven. Born in Bridgeport on January 19, 1922, he was a son of the late John and Isabelle Scinto Donofrio. Mr. Donofrio was a U. S. Army veteran serving in the Medical Corps during World War II. He was a happy, talented, friendly person who took great pride in restoring antique furniture.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary Caruso Donofrio, three devoted children, John Donofrio of Trumbull, Dan Donofrio of Huntington and Elizabeth Riccio and her husband, Daniel of Trumbull, two sisters, Eleanor Mariconda and Grace Kindzierski, both of Stratford, five grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Riccio, Anthony, Elizabeth and Michael Donofrio, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Dan, Matthew and Lenny Donofrio and two sisters, Rose Affannato and Antoinette DeAngelis. 

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull on Friday, August 6, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family & friends may call on Thursday, August 5, 2004 from 4-8 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
