Obituary of Teresa Marie DeZenzo
Stratford Resident
Teresa M. Teri Piccirillo DeZenzo, age 59, of Stratford passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Albert L. Buddy DeZenzo, Jr. Teresa was born in Bridgeport, on January 31, 1953 to Gabriella Ella Tecca Piccirillo of Trumbull and the late John M. Piccirillo Sr. Teresa worked for HealthNet as a claims supervisor and in the Appeals and Grievance Department for many years. As a graduate of Trumbull High School Class of 1971, Teresa later graduated St. Vincents School of Radiology and is a nationally recognized medical coder. Teresa was a die-hard NY Giants and NASCAR fan. However, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Logan, whom she affectionately called Noogly. Teresa also took great pleasure in cooking Sunday dinner for family, sharing laughs with friends, spending time on Daytona Beach, and shopping with her daughters. Teresas home was filled with love and comfort for all who entered. Even though she will be greatly missed by all that knew her, Teresas legacy will live on in the hearts of all the lives she touched.
In addition to her mother and beloved husband of 38 years, Buddy, other survivors include her daughters, Amy DeZenzo Matto and her husband Matthew, and Christina Tina DeZenzo Ziobro and her husband, John III, and her cherished grandson, Logan Ziobro, all of Naugatuck. She is also survived by her brother, John Piccirillo, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Milford, and sister, Lisa Piccirillo George of Ansonia, and many other loving family and friends.
Teresas family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Neal Fishbach, Dr. Gary Zimmerman, her nurse, Shante, and her two aides, Don and Joann for the wonderful care they provided. Funeral Information
