Obituary of Rose Arbas

Rose Dushugian Arbas, age 90, died on Sunday, October 9, 2005 at Middlesex Health Care Center, Middletown. Born in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Hagop and Almas Yaghubian Dushugian, and was a life long Trumbull resident. Along with her late husband, she operated the Supreme Food Service at Harvey Hubbell in Bridgeport. Mrs. Arbas was a former member of the Wednesday Afternoon Musical Club and she enjoyed singing.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Anthony Arbas and two sisters, Marion Cappello and Shirley Kernicky.

Survivors include her devoted daughters, Linda Sirch and her husband Anton, of Bullhead City, AZ and Donna Arbas and her partner Carol Ferrucci of Meriden, two sisters, Elinor Zysk of Bridgeport and Grace DeYoung of Florida, two cherished grandsons, David Chinchak ll and Steven Chinchak, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30a.m. in the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension with Rev. Fr. Karekin Kasparian officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
