Obituary of Pamela Marie DeJoseph

Stratford Resident Pamela Marie Gross DeJoseph, age 59, of Stratford passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, she was surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. Born in 1948 she was raised in Bridgeport. Pamela graduated from St. Josephs High School in 1966. She married Michael DeJoseph in 1968 and moved to Newtown where she resided for 28 years. Following her husbands retirement in 1996, Pamela and Michael moved to Stratford, where Pamela enjoyed restoring a Colonial era house. In addition to her devoted husband, Michael Anthony DeJoseph Sr., Pamela is survived by both of her parents Henry and Margaret Gross (nee Izzo) of Bridgeport, son Michael A. DeJoseph Jr. and his wife Carole Lavelanet of Stratford and daughter Marie Elena DeJoseph of Bridgeport. In addition, Pamela is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins to whom she was also very devoted too. Pamelas family would like to express their eternal gratitude to all of the staff at Yale-New Haven Hospital who provided exceptional and loving care to Pamela throughout the course of her illness. Pamela was a devoted, selfless and loving daughter, wife and mother. Pamela was a woman of simple pleasures who always placed the needs of her family above her own. The joy that she brought into her familys lives is something that they will always have with them. Despite being called home much too soon, Pamela led a full and complete life and her family is comforted in the knowledge that her suffering is over and she is at peace. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday November 3, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 5 - 9 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
