Obituary of Joseph A. Criscione
"The Pepper Man"
Joseph A. Criscione, age 88, of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Gardner Heights in Shelton with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Bennett Criscione. Born in Bridgeport, on December 2, 1923, he was a son of the late George and Maria Fico Criscione. A US Army Veteran of WW II, he also worked for the American Fabrics Company, formerly of Bridgeport for many years before his retirement. Affectionately known as the Pepper Man to everyone, he had a passion for cooking and feeding people. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife Elizabeth of over 64 years, other survivors include his children, Richard Criscione and his wife Tammy of Bethlehem, Michael Criscione and his wife Annette of Woodbury and Joanne Criscione of Seymour; his grandchildren, Richie, Jr., David, Robert, Kurt, Michael, Christopher and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Isabella and Roman; a brother Samuel Crescione and his wife May of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson Joseph Criscione, brothers, Santo, John and James Criscione , and a sister Josephine Garber. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 14, 2011 at 12:00 Noon in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:30 am until the time of service.
