Resident of Stratford Joseph M. Colagrossi, the beloved husband of Josephine Benedetto Colagrossi, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 surrounded by his family. He worked the majority of his career in the calibration department at Avco Lycoming/Textron. Joe enjoyed good Italian food and wine and music, especially Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Rosselli. He was an avid sports fan and loved all the New York teams, especially hockey and the New York Rangers. He and Josephine were parishioners at Our Lady of Grace Parish for more than fifty years and were very involved with the running of the kitchen at the annual Christmas fair and with the Senior Travel Club. Joe will be best remembered for his unconditional love of his family, ability to listen and forgive without question and his absolute faith in God. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Joan Colagrossi Junga and her husband David Junga, of Stratford, his beloved grandchildren, Rachel Junga and David Junga Jr. as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
