Obituary of Shayne J. Caserta

Shayne Joseph Albi Caserta, age 36, of Trumbull died on Sunday May 26, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on February 28, 1977, he was the son of Ginger Caserta Mullin and her husband Rob of Oxford. Shayne attended St. Teresas School, Notre Dame of Fairfield and graduated from Trumbull High School, Class of 1995. He was an auto mechanic, certified by Mercedes and worked for Mauro Motors in Wallingford. Most recently he worked as a manager for Artistic Design of Trumbull. Shayne was passionate about Miami Dolphins Football, Bridgeport Sound Tigers and NY Rangers Hockey, and was a NY Yankees fan. He loved all types and forms of auto racing. Shayne enjoyed going to races, driving in races and working on cars including his 1980 Malibu which he occasionally competed with. Besides cars, Shayne also loved spending time with family, friends and his dogs. Shelby was his constant companion for nearly 8 years. Most recently, he acquired a new pup Bear. In addition to his parents, survivors include a brother Rob Mullin and his fiancee Melanie Platt of Oxford; a sister Paisley Mullin and her fiancee Charles Bennett of Florida, cherished niece Piper Bennett, nephews Grant Mullin and Caden Bennett, his uncle and godfather Philip Tierney, an aunt Denise Caserta, cousins Dylan Tierney, Marissa Tierney, Christina Burgess, Deya Caserta, a step-grandmother Phyllis Mullin and father Albino Goncalves. Shayne was pre-deceased by his beloved maternal grandparents Rose and Joseph Caserta, his Auntie Barbara Tierney, Uncle Michael Caserta, step-grandfather Hugo Mullin Sr. and his faithful companion Shelby. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8pm.
