Obituary of Mary G. Cariello

Mary G. Cariello, age 89, formerly of Trumbull, died on July 4, 2011 in Roosevelt Hospital, New York City. Born in Trumbull on October 14, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Domenico and Teresa Grippi Cariello. She graduated from Bassick High School. Miss Cariello worked as a secretary for General Electric Co. and was a retiree of the ITT Corporation in New York City.

She was pre-deceased by sisters, Antoinette Apicella, Carmela Cariello, Anna Ancona and Elizabeth Cariello, a brother, John B. Cariello, her sister-in-law, Ann Cariello and brothers-in-law, Alfonso Apicella and Philip C. Ancona.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, James D. Apicella of Boca Raton, Florida, Teresa Ancona of Nyon, Switzerland, Charles P. Ancona of New York City, John M. Cariello and his wife Marie of Monroe and William D. Cariello, his wife, Suzanne and her daughter, Christan of Danbury, a grand niece, April Carroll and her husband, Gary of Del Ray Beach, Florida, a grand nephew, Michael P. Krell of Nyon, Switzerland and a great grand niece, Amanda Lee Carroll. 

Friends are invited to meet directly at the family plot for graveside services in Section 11 in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. There will be no calling hours.
