Obituary of Joseph P. Calandro
U.S. Army Veteran
Joseph P. Calandro, Sr., age 68, of Shelton died in the morning hours of Saturday May 9, 2009, in his home after a long illness. Joe was surrounded by his beloved wife Sharon, brothers, Ralph and Ed, his sons, Joe Jr., Danny and Nicky and a number of devoted friends. Born in Bridgeport on June 28, 1940 he was a son of Ralph D. Calandro and Rose A. Conte. He was a retired mason and U.S. Army veteran. Joe loved his family above all and had many great friends. Mr. Calandro is survived by his devoted loving wife, Sharon and her son Frank, brothers, Ralph and his fiance Nancy and Ed and his wife Carolyn, his sons, Joseph Jr. and his wife Terilyn, Danny and his wife Charlene and Nicky and his wife Xiomara, four grandchildren, Alyse, Jenna, Jamie and Michael, a step granddaughter, Diamante, as well as many nieces and nephews. Joe will be remembered for having a strong spirit, honesty and devotion to his family and friends. Funeral Information
Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave, Shelton on Thursday May 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
