Obituary of Shirley F. Zmijewski

Trumbull Resident Shirley F. Zmijewski, age 86, of Trumbull, devoted wife, mother and loving grandmother, died on Monday, December 21, 2009. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Emily Doty Carlson. Shirley was dedicated to her family. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Zmijewski. Survivors include her husband, John Zmijewski of 61 years, three sons, John Zmijewski and his wife Mari of Omaha, Nebraska, Richard Zmijewski and his wife Mary of Trumbull, Barry Zmijewski and his wife Karen of Trumbull, her daughter in law, Karen Zmijewski of Monroe, five cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Emily, Dina, Thomas and Daniel as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends can greet the family on Wednesday, December, 23, 2009 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m. directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
