Obituary of Louis A. Yitts
Louis A. Yitts, age 77, of Trumbull, a retired custodian for Middlebrook School in Trumbull, died Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at Maefair Health Center. Born in Bridgeport on January 1, 1928, he was a son of the late Peter and Florence Laughlin Yitts. A U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of World War II, he was a Trumbull resident since 1955. Mr. Yitts was also a former employee of Bridgeport Brass with over 30 years of service.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary Panda Yitts, two brothers, Frank and Robert Yitts, three sisters, Dorothy Yitts, Gertrude Cocca and his twin Louise Yitts.
Survivors include a son, Louis Yitts and his wife, Karen of Newtown, two daughters, Joanna Rogers and her husband, Frank Rogewitz of Westport and Patricia Fell and her husband, Vincent of Prairieville, Louisiana, a sister, Stella Pellino of Bridgeport, eight grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa and Matthew Yitts, Jill and Jaime Campoli, Allison Davidson, Kieth and Jennifer Richard as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
