Obituary of Marie J. Gierzadowicz

Resident of Easton Marie J. Cepetelli Gierzadowicz, age 83, of Easton and formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Anthony Gierzadowicz, died on Sunday, February 17, 2008. Born on May 11, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Adolfo and Stella Cepetelli. Mrs. Gierzadowicz was a retired employee for the City of Bridgeport, where she worked for the nutrition services department and had also formerly been employed at Bridgeport Brass. A graduate of Warren Harding High School, she was active in the Bridgeport North End Seniors Club. Affectionately known as Grandma G. to all her neighbors and friends in Easton, Marie always had a pot of sauce and meatballs ready for everyone. She was predeceased by two brothers, Mario and George Cepetelli. Survivors include two loving daughters, Beverly M. Palo and her husband Richard of Newtown and Noreen G. Rooney and her husband James of Easton, two brothers, Dino Cepetelli and his wife Jennie of Stratford and Daniel Cepetelli of FL., a sister in law Jean Cepetelli of Stratford and five cherished grandchildren, Todd A., Kyle A. and Meridith A. Palo and Dylan S. and Colin A. Rooney as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Notre Dame Church of Easton, 640 Morehouse Rd., Easton, on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
