Obituary of Celia M. Vita

New Cannan Resident Celia M. Vita, age 49, of New Canaan, died suddenly on Friday, January 18, 2013 at her home. Born in Port Chester, NY on October 10, 1963, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Celia Rich Vita. She was a member of the Greenwich High School Class of 1981 and then went on to earn her Associates Degree from Berkley College in White Plains, NY. Celia was an employee for the Town of Greenwich, working in the Tax Department. She enjoyed going to the movies and loved animals, but most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family. She was a loving sister and aunt who will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include a sister, Paula Marturano and her husband Thomas of Trumbull, a brother Joseph Vita and his wife Janet of New Milford, nieces and nephews, Teresa and Marisa Marturano, Joseph Jr., Michael, Valerie and Thomas Vita. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 30th from 4-8 p.m.
