Obituary of Carl Thomas Brokaw

Carl Thomas Brokaw, age 57, of Newtown, died peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2010 in Meridian Manor, Waterbury. Born in Bridgeport on December 25, 1952, he was the first baby born in Bridgeport that Christmas day. He was third child born to Margaret Barton Brokaw of Newtown and the late Michael Brokaw. Carl was a graduate of Notre Dame Catholic High School and also attended Westchester Community College. Carl enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming and time spent on his boat. His true passion was scuba diving for which he was an instructor. In addition to his devoted mother, Peg, survivors include a sister, Anne Legoza of New Mexico, a brother, Mike Brokaw of Newtown, two nephews, Keith Legoza and his wife Yolanda, Michael Brokaw and a niece Jennifer Brokaw. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Augustine Cathedral 359 Washington Ave, Bridgeport on Wednesday October 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
