Obituary of Furio Trovini-Bonomo
Milford Resident
Mr. Furio Trovini-Bonomo of Milford, age 94, entered peacefully into eternal
life, on October 5, 2012. Furio was a beloved loving husband of 67 years to Domenica Mastronardi-Trovini. He was born June 27-1918 in Ripi, Province of Frosinone, Italy. He was the son of the late Filippo and Teresa Recine-Trovini-Bonomo. Furio was a man of uncommon generosity, great dignity, profound depth and gentle strength. He provided comfort and care to his family, with his largest sacrifice being the pursuit of a new life in another country here in America. His number one priority throughout his life was the well-being, health and education of his grandchildren. He lived his life with great integrity and pride. He will be greatly missed by his daughters who loved him so very much. Furio was a loving and devoted husband, a model father and grandfather. He always enjoyed having his brother and nephew to his home to play cards or just talk about the old country. As a child, he was a standout bocce and soccer player and loved to ride his Lambretta in the streets of Ripi. He was deeply religious and very committed to his Roman Catholic faith as an avid parishioner of San Rocco in Ripi and St. Ann in Milford. He enjoyed gardening immensely and was an avid reader. Furio was especially famous for his olive oil from his trees and for his wine making, a tradition he crafted with his family on their vineyards in Ripi, Italy. He was educated in Salluzzo, Province of Torino at the College Preparatory School and subsequently worked as an accountant in Rimini during World War II. While in America, Mr. Trovini was employed by Bic Pen Corporation in Milford. He was the youngest of five boys. He was predeceased by his brothers, Giuseppe Trovini of Hackensack, N.J, Dario Trovini from Ripi, Italy, Elvio Trovini of Milford, two nieces, and one nephew; Rodilia Trovini of Italy, Nancy Faustini and Rolando Trovini of Milford. In addition to his beloved wife Domenica, he is survived by his brother Giovanni Trovini of Ripi- Italy, his loving, and devoted daughters; Rossana Trovini- Picarazzi and her husband Luigi of Stratford as well as Maria Teresa Trovini-Savone and her husband Ugo of Milford; five cherished grandchildren, Philip and wife Laura Picarazzi of Ansonia, Angela and husband Charles Pitcher of Trumbull, Frank and wife Elizabeth Picarazzi of Brooklyn, Furio and wife Lisa Savone of Easton, and Emilio and wife Ankara of New York, NY, five wonderful great-grand-children, Charles Pitcher, Jonathan Pitcher, Emily Pitcher, Lydia Picarazzi and Stella Savone.
