Obituary of Vincent Trazzera

Vincent Trazzera "Vinnie the Barber", age 84, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Emilia Franzot Trazzera, died on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at his residence. Born in Randazzo, Sicily, Italy on December 22, 1926, he was a son of the late Nunzio and Maria Catena Tadduni Trazzera. He came to the United States in 1955 with his young family with 10 cents in his pocket. Vinnie proudly served customers and friends for over 53 years at the Etna Barber Shop. He was a diehard fan of the New York Mets.

In addition to Emilia, his wife of 59 years, survivors include a son, Nunzio Trazzera and his wife Joanne of Oviedo, FL and a daughter, Angela DeCarli and her husband Massimo of Trumbull, a sister, Nina Saglimbene of Sicily, eight grandchildren, Jason and his wife Nikki, Anthony and his wife Summer, Danielle, Michelle and her husband Brian, Vincent, Massimo Jr., Michael and Marissa, three great grandchildren, Christina, Evangeline and Matthew as well as many nieces and nephews in the U. S. and Europe. He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Rosario, Joseph, Salvatore and Carmelo and two sisters, Carmela and Letizia. 

Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Margaret's Shrine, 2539 Park Avenue, Bridgeport on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
