Obituary of Patrick Torlish

Patrick Torlish, age 97, of Stratford, died peacefully on Friday October 14, 2011 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Rose Mastriano Torlish. Born in Raritan, NJ, on August 1, 1914, he was a son of the late Pasquale Torlucci and Millie Iandoli Torlucci Archello. He was employed by Westinghouse, where he worked as a tool and die maker for many years before his retirement. He will also be best known and remembered for the relationships he had built with smaller companies and this is evident through the awards he has received for his dedication. In addition to his wife Rose of 69 years, survivors include two daughters, Patricia Gerber of Grayson, GA, and Diane Cerritelli and her husband Kenneth of Shelton, CT, four grandchildren, Katharine Middlebrook and her husband Todd, Alicia McTigue and her husband Kevin, Michelle Cerritelli and Kimberly Elinson and her husband Mark, eight great grandchildren, Jordan, Patrick, Megan, Katie, Tyler, Joseph, Ryan, and Julia; sisters, Rae Mortali of New Haven, Nancy Burke and Frannie Raffone, both of Florida. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Patrick was predeceased by his son-in-law, Perren Gerber and his sister Lucy Benevento and brothers, Anthony, John, and Joseph Torlish. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Rd., Shelton on Tuesday October 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Lawn Cemetery, Shelton. There will be no calling hours.
