Obituary of John A. Gennarini

Former Bridgeport Resident John A. Gennarini, Sr., age 86, of Boca Raton, FL and formerly of Bridgeport, retired owner and operator of Gennarini Construction Co. Inc., died on Friday, May 21, 2010 in Hospice By The Sea, Boca Raton. Born in Bridgeport on August 11, 1923, he was a son of the late Frank and Concetta Sanseri Gennarini and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Anne Zarrillo Gennarini, a sister Susan Paradise and two brothers, Frank Jr. and Mario Gennarini. Survivors include a son, John A. Gennarini II and his wife Mary of Easton, two daughters, Connie Priestley of Shelton and Charlene Henrietta and her husband James of Trumbull, eight grandchildren, Jason, Jaime, Jackie, John, Michael, Lauren, Joshua and Olivia, three great grandchildren Kaitlyn Marie, Kaden and Macy, a brother Robert Gennarini and his wife Leslie of Monroe, his sister-in-law, Kay Gennarini of Monroe and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
