Obituary of Betty J. Search

Betty Jean (BJ) Search, age 82, of Trumbull, CT, beloved wife of Roger M. Search, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Newark, OH on April 14, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Dollie Wilson McPeek. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be sadly missed. Betty spent her childhood in Newark, OH and married her high school sweetheart, Roger, whom she met working in a neighborhood movie theatre. Roger, a Human Resources professional, advanced frequently taking them to several cities in Ohio, Georgia, Rhode Island, and finally to Connecticut in 1974. She made a loving home and friends wherever his career took them. Betty was an enthusiastic supporter of her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes, in particular their football teams. Many a Christmas mornings reveille was to the Buckeyes "Battle Cry. In addition to her husband Roger of 62 years, survivors include a daughter, Lisa Search Lupien and her husband Steven Lupien of Trumbull, CT, a granddaughter, Abigail Lupien, a brother, Wayne McPeek of Newark, OH as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Donald McPeek and two sisters, Wanda McPeek and Dorothy Carson. Funeral Information Betty will be remembered at a gathering to be held on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT. Funeral services will take place on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. and the interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT.
