Obituary of Mary Scott

December 05, 2005 Resident of Monroe, Connecticut Mary Garvey Scott, age 64, of Monroe, CT, died on Monday, December 5, 2005 at St. Vincents Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Terrance Scott. She was born in Forty Fort, PA, daughter of the late Vincent and Angela (Gorman) Garvey. In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her children, daughter, Maribeth Scott of Boston, son, Vince Scott and his wife, Kathy of Monroe, CT and daughter, Sharon Fagan and her husband, Scott of Boston; grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly and Kayla Scott of Monroe; two sisters, Elizabeth Garvey of Dallas, PA and Angela Caffrey of Wantage, NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Ensign, Vincent Garvey, Jr. Mary was a graduate of West Side Central Catholic High School, Kingston, PA in 1959 and earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from College Misericordia, Dallas, PA in 1963. She was a member of St. Jude Parish in Monroe, CT. Funeral Information Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, December 9, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe, CT. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 8 from 4-8 p.m. Interment will take place on Saturday, December 10 at 10:00 a.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery, 612 Mount Olivet Road, Carverton, PA. Immediately following interment services a Memorial Gathering will take place at the Holiday Inn in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
