Obituary of Thomas Schumaker
Resident of Trumbull
Thomas Schumaker, of Trumbull, a contract manager for Partner RE in Greenwich, died on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Connecticut Hospice. Born in Bridgeport on January 13, 1946, he was the son of Winifred May Pullen Schumaker of Fairfield and the late Joseph Schumaker. A U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Mr. Schumaker was a graduate of Sacred Heart University and was a Trumbull resident for 21 years. He served on the Trumbull Inland Wetlands Commission and was a member of the Trumbull Republican Town Committee. Mr. Schumaker was active in local sporting and conservation organizations, including Ducks Unlimited. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 23 years, Karen Desbois Schumaker, his son, Ian Schumaker, a cadet at Massachusetts Maritime Academy, a sister, Jan Long of Jacksonville, Florida, three nephews, Eric Ganser of Fairfield, Chris Wedemeyer of Bridgeport and Lt. Brian Long, U. S. Army as well as a wealth of friends. Funeral Information
A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Donations Information
