Obituary of Helen Schneider

Helen Wasmuth Schneider, age 87, of Trumbull, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Helen raised her family in East Meadow and Massapequa, NY and had a long and varied career at Harmon-Kardon in Plainview. An active member at St. Theresa Church and St. Rose of Lima, in LI, she loved singing, her ukulele and a good laugh. She will forever live on in the hearts of Harold Hal Schneider, her husband and best friend of 60 years, and their children: Bob Schneider and his wife Barbara of Old Bethpage, NY, Don Schneider of Bedford, NY, Ellen Van Patten and her husband Byron of Encino, CA, Rich Schneider and his wife Lisa of Fishers, IN, and Claire Weitzman and her husband David of Trumbull, CT; brother and sisters, William Wasmuth and his wife Helen of FL, Jane Ball of NJ, and Barbara Donohue and her husband Paul of NY; 12 grandchildren, John Schneider, Julie Duffey and her husband Michael, Jennifer Hammond and her husband Brent, Michael, Cristina & Anastasia Schneider, Tyler and Luke Van Patten, Sean and Danielle Schneider, and Hannah and Gabriel Weitzman; and 4 great grandchildren, Rheanna and Clayton Duffey, Hadley Hammond and Chloe Schneider. She was predeceased by her sister, Ann Donahue. Born in St. Albans, NY on June 6, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Anna Seifert Wasmuth. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull.
