Obituary of Luigi a.k.a. Louis Santako

Luigi Santako a.k.a. Louis Santako, age 90, of Easton, passed away at St. Vincents Medical Center on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann Kudravy Santako and the son of the late Peter and Prudenza Santako. Louis was born in Bridgeport, CT and as an adult resided in Easton for over fifty years. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army serving as a radio operator during World War II and he retired from Avco Lycoming in Stratford as a supervisory machinist. Louis enjoyed working in his garden and yard. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Natalie Onorato, Duddie Wuennemann, Roger Santako, Barbara Martire, Diane Mullen, Peter Stassun, James Martin and Dorothy Costello.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Marie Martin, Mary DiNapoli and Julie Santako, and by his brothers, Sylvester, Carmine and Patrick Santako. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in Notre Dame of Easton Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services.
