Obituary of Ruth E. Salvagno

Ruth E. Senkevich Salvagno age 85, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Fred Salvagno, died on Sunday August 9, 2009 in Maefair Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 27, 1924, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Milved Senkevich.

A loving mother and grandmother, Ruth enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her sisters Carrie LaRosa and Ann Kern. Survivors include two loving children, Janice Chonka and her husband Glenn of Trumbull and Kenneth Salvagno and his wife Doreen of Monroe, three cherished grandchildren Justin Chonka and Daniel and Carly Salvagno, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday August 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Polish National Church, Stratford. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
