Obituary of Paula Salerno
Paula Myers Salerno, age 64, of Stratford and formerly of Trumbull, beloved wife and mother of two, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2005 in Lord Chamberlain Health Care, Stratford. Born in North Haven on June 29, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Pauline Myers. A graduate of North Haven High School and the University of Connecticut, Mrs. Salerno was a member of the Pinewood Lake Association, the Oronoque Womens Club, and the Oronoque Weekenders. She was also a teacher at the Butler Business School, and helped her husband run the family business. Her hobbies included Bunka, for which she won many awards at the Durham Fair, ceramics, knitting and cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Martin Salerno, a son, David Salerno and his wife, Debby of Monroe, a daughter, Pamela Overton and her husband, Edward of Westampton, New Jersey, a brother, Henry Myers, Jr. of Georgia, four grandchildren, Taylor, Ashley, Christian and Grace Overton. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Vincent Myers.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will take place on Friday, March 4, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 498 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
