Obituary of Michele Russo

Michele Russo, age 87, of Trumbull, a retired employee of Bridgeport Hydraulic with 29 years of service, died on Monday, October 3, 2005 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Naples, Italy on March 12, 1918, he was a son of the late Carmine and Aida Innunziata Russo and a Trumbull resident for 39 years, previously residing in Bridgeport. A veteran of the Italian Marines, Mr. Russo was an usher at St. Catherine of Siena Church, a former member of the Roma Club and an avid gardener.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Luisa Gagliardi Russo, a son, Mario Russo of Trumbull, three grandchildren, David Russo and his wife, Nancy, Danny Russo and his wife, Loraynna and Anthony Russo and his wife, Marian, three great grandchildren, Michael, Ariel and Vanessa, many nieces and nephews and Ryan. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Rita Marie Russo. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
